Intentions is an accountability app that stores all data locally on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how our app and website work.
In the iOS App: Intentions stores all your data — including your intentions, categories, daily plans, completion records, streaks, and notification preferences — entirely on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No account is required. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers, and we have no access to the information you enter in the app.
On This Website: If you use the contact form on our website, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond to your inquiry. We also briefly record your IP address when you submit the form, which we use to prevent spam and abuse (rate limiting) and which is included in the notification email we receive. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide so we can send you updates. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this website.
App Data: Your intentions, plans, and streaks are used solely by the app on your device to schedule reminders, display your progress, and track your streaks. This data never leaves your device.
Contact Form Data: Information submitted through our website contact form is used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists or share your contact information.
Newsletter Data: If you opt in, your email address is used only to send you occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
Intentions uses iOS local notifications to remind you to plan your day, check in, and stay on top of your intentions. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication. You can disable notifications at any time in the app's settings or through iOS Settings.
The Intentions iOS app does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no data shared with third parties.
To deliver contact form submissions and send newsletter emails, this website uses Resend, a US-based email delivery service that acts as a processor on our behalf. The name, email address, message, and IP address you submit are transmitted through Resend solely for the purpose of email delivery and are subject to Resend's own privacy practices.
This website uses minimal cookies for basic functionality (see our Cookie Policy).
App Data: Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed. We have no ability to recover your data since it is never transmitted to us.
Contact Form Data: We retain contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, after which they are deleted.
Newsletter Data: We retain your email address until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from our list.
